We are currently flying the County Flag in memory of the fallen of the Middlesex Regiment throughout the centuries and in celebration of our county of Middlesex confirmed by the UK Parliament in 2011 as alive and kicking. Middlesex Day is the 16th May.
The club is affiliated to the Middlesex Bowls Association and has lots of information on its website. Worth a look. The South Middlesex Bowling Association Facebook page is also updated regularly.

Bonus Ball Results

Week 1 winner John Collins £20
Week 2 winner Linda Hickman £20

Internal Knock Out Matches

Please be aware that a number of these matches have to be played before the end of May, which is only 2 weeks away.
Rinks for matches must be booked in the folder located between the kitchen and bar. They can be played east/west and your own kit can be worn.
Members’ contact phone numbers are on the board in the clubhouse.

VE Celebration

May 4th after the Hersham game was a great success and enjoyed by all.
Thank you to Norma T. (who put forward the idea) Sue R. for the catering, assisted by Sue S and Andy.
All the spam, corned beef and fish paste sandwiches were eaten as were the cakes.

Cleaning Rota

This is on the notice board and is working well.
This season it also includes cleaning the sinks and surfaces in the kitchen/bar area plus the removal of the rubbish sacks and recycling (bottles and cans).
Please note – new members do not have to clean in their first year.

Lockers

Please let me know if you are using the lockers in the men’s with yellow labels stuck on them. If they are not claimed soon the padlocks will be cut off and the locker given to a member on the waiting list.

Dishwasher

Please put your used glasses, mugs, beakers and crockery into the dishwasher.
If it has been on and is full of clean items it is a great help if you unload it and put those items away first.
