SML Finals Day. Sun 15th Sept at Bishop Duppas
I am pleased to announce that Sue Rogers is the new South Middlesex Ladies Singles Bowls Champion, beating Joyce Marshall from Staines BC and our Men’s Four ( Barry H. Dave U. Geoff C. & John R.) played well in the Bunny Haynes but were beaten by a very experienced team from Masonians BC.

Memorial Drawn Pairs Day Sunday 22nd September
The weather certainly isn’t memorable at the moment as it saturated the green making any play near impossible. To protect players and the green we have postponed the event in the hope we can play on Sunday 29th (last playing day of the season).
However, weather forecasts are putting this in doubt.
I will email during the week to confirm players availability. I know some cannot make it but maybe others can. The structure / draw will stay in place as far as possible.😡

End of Season roll up 26th Sept
Our last Thursday Roll Up will be a 4pm meet for a 4.15pm start.

Table Tennis & Darts
This will start on Monday Oct 7th at 10.30am

U3A
Congratulations to Dave Donkin and James Barrie for winning their drawn pairs final and well played to Pam Nolan and Anita Steel, the runners up.

All of the lockers have a new number. If you found a sticker on yours please let me know who you are.

Middlesex Competitions (not the South Middlesex) for the next outdoor season 2025. If you are interested in entering any of these please contact me (Jackie Peaty) asap.

Cleaning Rota
Thank you to all members who took their turn with the club cleaning and what a good job you all did. The rota now starts again for the next six months, as the clubhouse is used every day except Sunday.
The new rota will be sent out via email asap. Please note when the hall is in use, and clean when it’s your turn, after 10.30am on any day except Monday.

Hall Hire
FYI The hall in the clubhouse is hired out regularly which brings in much needed funds for the club.
From October: Sarah’s Fitness Classes take place on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning from 9.30 until 10.15am
Shelley’s Fitness Classes take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday morning from 9.30am – 10.15am
InStep Individual Dance Classes take place on a Friday from 5.30pm – 6.30pm

Club Christmas Party
Monday 16th December at Ashford Manor Golf Club – From 7.00pm.
More details are on the board in the clubhouse where there is a sign up sheet.

Our new ‘Safeguarding’ officer is Andy Rogers – more details to follow.
